Sisters, gotta love them!

It amazes me every time I watch my girls. They can go from picking on each other to the point of physicality to absolutely loving each other and being each others best friend.

This last week has been very interesting. My youngest daughter who has never been in trouble before has been called into the administrative offices twice this past week. This is all due the a very troubled girl. This girl's dad died when she was in 2nd or 3rd grade. Since then her mother has been over protective and not really let her learn how to deal with anything. Unfortunately this doesn't work well in junior high.

While most kids just blow things off, this girl goes out of her way to invent things. I believe that this is really due to the fact that by now she thinks she is entitled to anything she wants and also because she thinks she is perfect. I realize that this is not entirely her fault. She has been very sheltered for quite a few years. On the other hand, by now she should realize that life is not always the way she thinks it should nor do people really care what she thinks.

This has come to a head in school and unfortunately my youngest is being affected by it. The girls has named my daughter as being one of the many that seems to pick on her by pointing out the obvious. The girl and her mother came into school to complain or discuss what has been happening. During the meeting the girl and her mom named the entire class as picking on this girl. They brought up things that happened all the way back to 2nd and 3rd grade. Now to me that speaks of real mental issues. I've know the mom my entire life and there has always been issues there. I just didn't realize how deeply those issues went. Hopefully this can lead to some real healing for the girl and her mom.

But more importantly I hope the my daughter remembers to think through what's happening and realize that there are always two sides of the story.
